get to know the 100 senators and 435 house reps. especially how they stand on legal immigration.

you may see your struggles in a different light 10 years from now.

We have requested an appointment be scheduled for you to complete biometrics. A notice will be sent when a time becomes available.
If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.
Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over the age of 14 must also notify the Department of Homeland Security within 10 days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status are exempt from this requirement). If you have moved, please complete a Form AR-11 and mail it to the address shown on that form. If you do not have this form, you can download it from our website or you can call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 and we can order one for you. employer. I know many cases like this, people approach these Bodyshoppers to get H1, or to convert H4 to H1..... many pay even H1 processing fees(which is illegal)..... just pray that after getting H1 they will get some project and the employer will pay....... they won't dare to ask employer.... becoz he can just revoke H1 and just be done with it...... many many cases....

Gurus,
I have a unique position. couple of weeks back I was told that have fatal cancer and won't live pass 4-6 months. After recovering from initial shock I am wondering if my wife will be able to continue her american dream or she will have to head home after me.
I have filed 485 with approved 140 back in june, 2007 with PD of March, 2003
Please help.

Really sorry to hear that but i do believe that with medical advances you will have a chance. Try to seek best medical care and advise. As others i suggest making an info pass appointment and discuss with an IO i am sure they will help.

Well, culture has tremendous impact on people. Looking at the state of our country, what have we become in last 63+ years? Major percentage of population still live under poor living conditions. We are one of the most corrupted countries in the world. Some people want to live in denial. Boasting about greatness that doesn't exist is of no use to the current and future generations. We have to make our country great by changing the conditions. In order to do that, first we need to acknowledge that there are serioous issues. Unless we all unitedly agree that the conditions are pathetic and will worsen, nothing is going to change.

Unless and untill everybody in EB3 has contributed ataleast a $1000.00 to the immigrationvoice cause, its waste of time to discuss about the EB3-India movement. Any way we have to spend a lot more than $1000.00 in renewing EADs, H1Bs and H4s.
Otherwise just wait and pray for the CIR bill to pass. Then every body in the EB category will get the benefit being the EB3- India/China are the greatest benefitters.

As much as all of us on this board would like to get our GCs, remember that GC is just a means to an end, it is not the end itself. Dont make the GC so important that not getting it starts "depressing" you.
if you see life as a series of choices and actions, then the lack of GC inhibits a lot of choices and actions.
how badly you wish to change career for example, varies among individuals. but one should not forget that life is finite number of years, and the system here wants to eat all your productive years by dangling the GC carrot.
as sufferers of this ordeal, i believe it is our duty to inform the young and innocent who are not yet in this mess, about the future that awaits them.
mind you i am not discouraging anyone from coming to the US.. that is a decision that must be made by the individual.... just making sure the rules and realities of the game are known to people before they come here.

That may be a RFE and then eventually you have to give that letter and do more bargaining with your employer...
I am clarifying myself again. I did not mean to suggest that pay stubs can be used in lieu of FUTURE employment letter.
In any case, why not change your employer after 6 months of filing for your I-485. From the way they are treating you, you should be the first one to invoke AC21.
I don't think you will get a RFE within 6 months, but of course you never know. But if we assume normal processing times, I am sure your new employer would give you a letter. However, do consult with an attorney before changing jobs to make sure the job is "same" or "similar".
