Got the cards in the mail. My online case status says the application is still pending.
Folks (those whose PDs are current this month),
Check with your attorney, in your mail boxes along with the online USCIS case status. You may get the good news in your mail box or from your attorney's office before your status is updated online.
This is what my attorney had to say:
The USCIS online status system is maintained by contract workers and is often inaccurate.
My Online status got updated today. Snail mail is faster than email - happens only with USCIS. Anyways, my journey is over. Good luck to others.

90 days after the Prez signs it, which he should fairly promptly after it's been ratified by both houses. However, all this is moot point -IMO- as the real sticky and unpredictable part is house and senate agreeing on the same bill, etc.

My PD is Nov 2004, I got 140 approved. Im not filing 485 now as im unmarried.
Any ideas when can be the date current again(for my PD atleast)?
EB2 or EB3? If EB2 then based on data someone posted here earlier, there is a good chance of you becoming current in the next 12-18 months.

Ruchigup, Are you sending AC21 document? I am also leaving my current employer and taking AC21 route. I am retaining my lawyer. He is supportive and hopefully, will not ask retainer fee as he knows that i paid all my gc cost.

From the text I can derive two conclusion either it is directed to undocumented worker or everyone is put in same basket nothing specific about our cause. Apu dont get me wrong I apprerciate your initiative but it should not happen we sign to support Kennedy he comes out as hero for Latino community (did I forget to mention political gain) and we remain where we are and watch those illegals immigrant become US citizen.

Infact I think the letter from his campaign representative is a way to get to the heart of our cause. We will sign once there is assurance in writing that it includes H1s.

We have sent faxes in English to Senetor Kennedy requesting to support Bill that will provide relief to Legal immigrant communites but still nothing specific to our cause.
All the support we got till now are mostly from Republicans so we should abstain from supporting that is anti-republican.. More over we do not want to get caught in the crossfire between Dems and Repb.

I had the same thing happen to me, applied PP on June19, it reached on 20th got approved on June21. Status still shows pending, but the lawyer got the approval notice with an A# to boot...

If you have filed for I-485 and you have your receipt # (starting with LIN) and you have a copy of the encashed check or the proof of the financial transaction (could be you, your employer or lawyer) and the online status says I-485 Adjustment of Status pending, then you have nothing to worry about. If you had moved or changed your address it may have been misplaced. But you have nothing to worry about if the checks are cashed and you have the Receipt #.

I think it is high time we need to set rules and roles for senior member alike - they are supposed to bring people to the group not the otherway around - We are setting a wrong precedence - A guy who has contributed more than you, can ask you to lay off ilikekilo, and that is not far away.

As i had indicated earlier, I spoke with my employer, he cannot do anything in terms of lobbying - but has agreed to do things. He will donate to IV and he will write a letter stating that small businesses like ours need to be able to fully utilize the capabilities of the employers...and it helps to have the green card.
Not sure who the letter needs to be addressed to, any suggestions would be helpful.

USCIS people rejected the Application. Now the application is with my Attorney. So which option I need to select the for the taking the Info Pass appointment. My Attorney is telling if they accept the application and they put any RFE so that we can take the Info Pass appointment is it correct?

We are targeting to get a 1000 letters signed and sent to the White House from our group. We need volunteers to print letter templates, get envelopes/stamps and most importantly bring family, friends and colleagues to this event. Please see below for details about the Venue.
Where: Woodlands Restaurant 11833 Artesia Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701
When: Sunday, Feb 17'th
Start Time: 2 PM

We have the same case. Our AP's (mine, my wife's and daughter's) are expiring next month. Fortunately, I have a close friend and an immigration attorney.
He said that it is not mandatory to renew the APs. Unless to you wanted to travel outside of the US, then you will need to renew your APs. If they are expired, you need to apply for a new one.
Three of us are paroled.
He also explained that it will not affect your AOS.

So do I actually have to be in the US to mail in the AOS forms (I-485s)? I've been a legal US resident for years on an H1-B, and have been fortunate to have never had out-of-status issues or anything like that. BUT, as it happens, I'm up in Canada on vacation at the moment, planning to return next week. I've never had to get a visa stamp or surrender I-94 or any of that stuf.
Do I need to actually be back in the US before lawyer sends in AOS forms ? Or is it sufficient that I'm a resident and will be back in the US once the AOS is processed.
